Walking

Walking on the Via Francigena (Francigena Way),  walking section 13  Garlasco-Pavia  ( see road map )
The first part of the route, up to the intersection with Ticino river, takes you through the country surrounding Pavia, irrigated by many channels and dotted with farmhouses and trees. You will cross the wonderful Parco del Ticino alongside E1 path, that coincides here with via Francigena, and the view on the river and the thick woods, along with a strong wildlife presence, will offer you a suggestive experience.
